Our general dental services maintain and protect your teeth for your optimal oral health. With a wide range of offerings, our skilled team is here to provide you with a healthy, lasting smile.
Norge Dental Center firmly believes, “If you’re healthy, your mouth knows it.” This means regular cleanings and checkups are about more than simply preventing cavities and root canals—it’s about your overall well-being and health, emotional and physical.
Preventative dentistry may actually head off heart attack, stroke, and diabetes— even catching oral cancer and osteoporosis early, before problems arise.
Apart from the individual services we offer in general and preventative dentistry, every checkup includes a complete periodontal evaluation.
Norge Dental Center is here to make sure your gums are in perfect health, whether you’re only in for a checkup or your gums are giving you a problem. Should we find any issues with your gums, we’ll talk to you about possible steps and treatments. A problem like gum disease can be treated by being proactive. Gum disease is reversible in its early stages. You can keep gum disease from becoming a problem by brushing, flossing, and seeing your dentist regularly.
Book an Appointment NowSnoring is usually harmless and annoying, but you may have sleep apnea. After you’ve talked to your primary care physician and received a complete medical assessment, Norge Dental Center will help fit you with the right oral appliance for you. You don’t need a ton of equipment to manage sleep apnea. Many people with mild to moderate sleep apnea find relief with an oral apnea appliance, eliminating the cumbersome CPAP machine. Once your primary care physician has given you a referral, our dental team conducts a thorough evaluation and walks you through the options. We fit you with the right oral appliance—one you can wear comfortably. Follow up with your physician afterward so they can check your progress. Then see us twice a year so we can confirm the integrity of your appliance.
Book an Appointment NowVisitors and first-time patients with dentures often turn to Norge Dental Center when their usual dentist isn’t available—and then they come back for everything else. Dental implants provide a comfortable, precise fit when used with partial or full dentures. You also have the option of not combining your dentures with dental implants. However, the benefits of dental implants are numerous: You will have improved retention, especially with lower dentures. You won’t have food or diet restrictions. They help improve your bone and gum health. They’re comfortable to wear without use of an adhesive, or risk of slipping. They offer a natural look and feel. When you receive dental implants, as few as four may be needed to secure the denture in place, improving the success rate of the denture.
Book an Appointment NowNo one likes getting root canals. We get it, which is why we’re so invested in the physical and emotional comfort of our patients. Our friendly team will be at the ready to make your procedure stress-free. Root canals are necessary when the diseased or damaged nerve—or tooth pulp—is removed so that the tooth can be saved or restored. To complete the procedure, your dentist will recommend a dental crown.

We replace metal crowns with porcelain restorations using virtually wear-proof material that matches your tooth color. All work comes with a limited guarantee.

What you eat and drink directly affects the health of your teeth. While it is ok to have a yummy treat or delicious beverage, snacking often throughout the day increases your risk of tooth decay. Sugary snacks and acidic drinks can weaken the enamel over time, increasing bacteria and the risk for tooth decay. Did you know that Dr. Johnston loves dark chocolate and a Dr. Pepper? Yes, even your favorite dental professionals consume tasty treats. What matters most is how often you consume your favorite treats. Your dental professional can let you in on all the do’s and don’ts when enjoying your favorite snack/treat. Frequent snacking or drinking throughout the day increases bacteria and your risk for tooth decay. Anytime sugar or acidic drinks are introduced into the mouth, it feeds millions of bacteria. It takes approximately 30 mins for the Ph of your mouth to return to its happy place (return to normal.) With frequent snacking your mouth never has a chance to reset. We want you to enjoy that tasty treat or delicious beverage! Just remember to do it all at once instead of snacking or sipping throughout the day.
Seeing your dentist every six months is one of the best ways to stay on top of your oral health. Regular visits allow our team to provide thorough cleanings and exams. Visits can address concerns early, often before you notice a problem yourself.
Many mouthwashes can be helpful in keeping teeth strong, preventing cavities and reducing gum disease. To get started-pick up a bottle of ACT (Dr. Johnston's favorite) mouthrinse with fluoride. Mouthwash is a great addition to your daily routine but don't skip brushing and flossing! Nothing can compete with a good toothbrush and string floss.
Our Dentists and Registered Dental Hygieneists are licensed professionals who are committed to excellence in education and care. Not only did they complete years of college education, they passed the rigorous state and national exams required to obtain a license to practice.
